Dr. Thorsten Hummel

Dr. Hummel studied chemistry in the field of materials science at the University of Tübingen. During this course he specialized in inorganic solid-state chemistry and theoretical inorganic chemistry.

As a research assistant, the focus of his work as part of his doctoral studies was on the presentation and optimization of novel organometallic materials as light converters and as innovative oxidizing agents. These materials are used as photoactive substances to break down multi-resistant bacterial strains by means of generated singlet oxygen.

Due to his many years of professional experience in the fields of chemistry, Dr. Hummel is a competent contact in the fields of inorganic chemistry, solid-state chemistry, materials science, X-ray technology, luminescence and thermal analysis.

Since 2020, Mr. Hummel has been training to become a German Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney at Habermann Intellectual Property.
